- Week 7
Week 7 – We drove puppies to Cornell to see Dr Loew for hearing tests on August 11th 2021. Great news – all 7 puppies have bilateral hearing!
This means they can both hear in both ears. WAHOO!!!!

What a fun week we have had, especially today! First time outside, first time with bones and first time in water!
Everyone did great! And everyone is exhausted

Photos from yesterday and today – finally figuring out how to take nice shots with my new phone!
Most of these are with the pups sleeping – they are actually awake much more of the time now, they just don’t stay still long enough to take a photo that isn’t blurry!
Everyone is enjoying eating ‘mushed’ dog food as well as Mama Cleo milk ♥

for their head shots this evening
in her spotty pajamas – she did a fantastic job, as did the pups!
6 out of the 7 puppies are 4lb or heavier!
Everyone is making great progress
and showing more interest in their surroundings and each other.

How are we 2 weeks post whelp already? Time is flying!
Puppies are growing so well – Cleo Mama has super milk!
Allegro, Fugue and Encore are already over 3lbs!
All puppies have their eyes open, apart from Mezzo and Forte, who is just starting to open his.
We have expanded the whelping pen this evening as Allegro was starting to escape.
Everyone seems very happy with their new living/sleeping arrangement.
- Week 2 – Day 12
We are having such a fun week watching these puppies start to move around!
Forte and Fugue ( our biggest boys) are starting to walk!
Their eyes are not fully open yet – so they are staggering around in quite a hilarious fashion!
Everyone is gaining weight every day and ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) is progressing nicely.
Some of these photos show how relaxed the puppies are during the ‘supine’ part of ENS – where the puppy is laid on it’s back for 5 seconds.

Everyone has doubled their birth weight (July 10th 2021) by day 9!
This is excellent progress. Cleo continues to be an attentive Mama.
Puppies are trying to get up on their feet rather than army-crawl on their bellies.
Headshots were even trickier than when they were newborns!

All puppies are feeding well and plonking on weight!
Mama Cleo is working hard to keep everyone happy around the clock.
Yesterday, all 7 puppies saw Dr Jim at East Aurora Vet Hospital for puppy dew claw removal – everyone did great!
Day 3 we also started ENS with each puppy – this stands for Early Neurological Stimulation and is part of the Puppy Culture program. ENS is a set of five simple exercises designed to stimulate a puppy’s neurological, endocrine and circulatory system at a point when the brain is are undergoing massive development.

We are proud to introduce our 7 little puppies! In birth order:
- Week 1 – Birth Announcement
Welcome to the Overture Litter!
We are thrilled to announce that during the night on July 1st and in to July 2nd early morning,
Cleo whelped 7 beautiful, healthy pups!
5 boys (1 double patch) and 2 girls (one patch)
All are a very good weight and feeding well.
Mama did an excellent job and although we are exhausted, we are so very happy.
We cannot wait to see how our Overture Litter grows and develops!
